This is aromatically similar to the Gravières but with hints of violet and pepper. The slightly more vibrant middle weight flavors possess slightly better delineation to the slightly firmer finish where the supporting tannins are reasonably fine-grained. There is an interesting contrast between the juicy mid-palate and the mildly austere finale. Even so, I suspect that this will drink well after only a few years of bottle age. Drink: 2024+.
