Here is a very deeply coloured, super-ripe, lush primitivo (zinfandel) with a very generous a raisiny nose that is rife with licorice, chocolate, charcuterie and herbs. Almost amaro-like in its complexity. It is full bodied, dense, thick warm and sweet - so fans of light reds beware. But there is a certain regional authenticity and sense of detail that I admire.
