The Apostle Peter writes, \"Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these we might be partakers of the divine nature having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.\" Christ is the testator of a more excellent covenant being a living sacrifice. When He offered Himself on the cross for redemption, He opened for us a new and living way through the veil- that is to say His flesh-that we might be restored to His likeness and image.
