A study of the theology of William Temple, Archbishop of Canterbury against the process or evolutionary thinkers of his times, including Whitehead, Alexander, Pringle-Pattison and Smuts. Theological themes covered include Temple's thinking on revelation, christology and the Trinity with relation to his presentation of a universe that is, fundamentally, sacramental. Preceding the treatment of Temple are chapters presenting the basics of the philosophers mentioned.
