7-OAKS , written with rhyme and metre, is a story of a back-wood family who endured agony and despair as each member suffered from a mysterious malady that claimed each one. However, the family bond and love for each other was so strong that it continued beyond the grave. The story is told through the eyes of a traveler who bears witness to its truth. There are some who call it pathetic and sad and others who marvel at its surprise ending, the premise being that love is all-powerful and endures and does not terminate with life. I always believed that something so beautiful and supreme as true love must continue when life ends. Other poems reveal the dangers of envy, procrastination, anxiety, falsehood, etc.
