'The Real God Code: The Ten Commandments In The Leningrad Codex' is primarily a reference for the Ten Commandments as rendered in the Leningrad Codex, the oldest, complete manuscript of the Hebrew Language based Jewish Scriptures. The Ten Commandments, found in Exodus 20 of the Leningrad Codex are in verses one (1) through twelve (12). In contrast, the well known King James Bible (KJV), the English Standard Version (ESV) and the New International Version (NIV) each use 17 verses to describe the same content. Similarly, the Complete Jewish Bible (CJB), the Stone Edition Tanakh and the Koren Tanakh use fourteen (14) verses for the same content. Because the verses are broken up differently in their sentence structure in the modern translations, potential misunderstandings can result. It is quite notable that The Ten Commandments are what God asked Moses to place in the box known as the The Ark of the Covenant. Because He gave them such prominance, should we not also treat them seriously ourselves?
