Excerpt from The Photographic Primer: A Manual of Practice The grooved or notched track-frame at the bottom, on which the front of the box travels, is usually hinged back of the center of its length, so that, when the ends are brought close together by the telescoping of the bel lows, the longest part of this frame or bed may be folded up against the front of the box, making the whole camera compact for carrying; the folding up has nothing to do with the operation of the camera. Roughly speaking, this is the whole of a camera box, except two other features of its construction, which will be noted further on. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books. Find more at www.forgottenbooks.com This book is a reproduction of an important historical work. Forgotten Books uses state-of-the-art technology to digitally reconstruct the work, preserving the original format whilst repairing imperfections present in the aged copy. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in our edition. We do, however, repair the vast majority of imperfections successfully; any imperfections that remain are intentionally left to preserve the state of such historical works.
