Ivy Zephyr realizes she needs a change of scenery from living in San Francisco; after coming home early from a week-long trip to find her fiancé in bed with another woman. On a drive to clear her head she stumbles across the small town of Redwood Bluff where she feels at home and quickly settles in. Ivy meets Vivi Thistle, the owner of the Thistle Treasures antique shop and finds a pair of antique earrings shaped like dragonflies. Vivi makes Ivy a deal on the earrings she can't refuse and she proudly wears them out of the store. A few nights later the earrings mysteriously start to glow. The next day, Ivy learns that a murder took place, and Vivi is to blame. Ivy has an important choice to make. Should she heed the sign of the glowing earrings to help find the murderer? Or, should she get rid of them and risk more bad luck in her life?
