Eight year-old Courtney VanGoodwyn would know the answers to each of those questions. After being cryogenically frozen 2000 years ago to cure her stomach cancer, nearly being sold to starving survivors, and being saved from her demise by a boy named Blake who nearly ended up like her; Courtney finds herself in a wasteland where the strong and able feed off of the weak and vulnerable. However, as the two are hunted down by those serving the mastermind of the market to be purchased and feasted upon, one question still remains: Will they both wind up on someone's plate, or will Courtney and Blake overthrow the facility that nearly sold them and ultimately restore the world?
