Tabalí Pedregoso Carmenère 2022

The 2022 Pedregoso Carmenere was produced with grapes purchased from Peumo and Almahue in Cachapoal, the classical zone for the grape, transported and fermented in Limarí. This entry-level range is primary and fruit-driven, has marked varietal character and is clean and easy to drink - very good value for money. The Carmenere has to be peppery and spicy but not heavy. It has 14% alcohol and good freshness. This is one of their top-selling wines. It was bottled a couple of weeks before I tasted it, and the wine felt harmonious. Drink date: 2023-2026. Score - 91.
