Campers at Camp Glee can't wait to go on a nature scavenger hunt. Camp Counselor Steve provides them with their scavenger hunt checklists and tells them to also look for a sign labeled "Joy," and they will find treasure.
Campers quickly set out on the nature scavenger hunt. They eagerly crossed things off their list, but along the way, some obstacles delayed them from finding the treasure quickly, and then when they did find the sign labeled "Joy," there was no treasure!
Campers learned a valuable lesson about taking time to appreciate the little things in life and to be present in the moment. In addition, they know that joy is not a thing; it is a feeling of great pleasure and happiness that you receive from helping others and expressing gratitude, doing good deeds, and from friendship, laughter, and enjoying the beauty of nature around you.
