Wow. To say this Corton Charlemagne is youthful beyond reproach would be a massive understatement and 2021 a year that holds no punches because greatness lies in the eye of the experienced. This '21 will not jump out and grab the senses with instancy or elicit immediate gratification but it will stop to make you consider Bourgogne's place in humanity and existence. It will distract you from anything you may have been doing by performing some kind of subtle hypnosis so that minutes go by before you realize you have been tasting and thinking about everything and nothing at all. A quasi state of dreaming, 'to be nowhere, to be no one, to have nothing, to be free.' A great effect from white Burgundy that will only get better as the flesh, musky aromas, waxy feels and viscous textures develop in this wine. Drink 2025-2036. Tasted March 2024. Score - 95.
