Roberto Sarotto Riserva Barbaresco 2013 in Brampton, ON

TASTING NOTE: This 2013 is showing some nice tertiary notes as it matures. It easily has another 3-5 years of development potential, but it's drinking really well right now. There's still good ripe black fruit along with notes of prune, mocha-inflected oak tones, and a refined underlying mineral note that is just wonderful. A very nice wine, particularly with roast beef, braised ribs or, of course, a mushroom risotto with truffles.
