After much encouragement from family and friends, I finally used time in isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic to pen this novel. As a young man born on the Eastern Shore of Virginia, I never envisioned graduating from Virginia State University, serving twenty-one years in the United States Army, working nineteen years as an Operations Research/System Analyst in Civil Service, and ultimately fulfilling my passion to teach and tutor mathematics. I had no idea I would be blessed with two consecutive marriages to wonderful wives for a current total of sixty-one years and have eight children and twenty-six grandchildren.
This is a brief history of my eighty-three years of life as guided by God and my parents and written for the benefit of my children, grandchildren, and other readers who just want to learn a little more about life and its lessons. My journey in life was determined by God and only because of His grace and mercy am I able to share this information. There was no way I could have known or mapped out my experiences. No two people or situations are the same, so what worked for me may not work for you. But, hopefully, every reader will take something of value from my experience.
