Spider-Man bonds with a sentient alien symbiote, initially appearing as a black suit. This symbiote grants Spider-Man enhanced abilities but also begins to corrupt him, leading to a more aggressive and reckless personality. Eventually, Spider-Man realizes the symbiote's negative influence and separates from it, leading to the symbiote bonding with Eddie Brock and becoming the villain Venom.
