As a follow-up to From Land and Sea: Nova Scotia''s Contemporary Landscape Artists (Nimbus, 2009) this second edition introduces 70 new artists and their works from across the province, including José Valverde, Holly Carr, Renee Forrestall, Geoff Butler, David Silverberg, John Neville, Jacqueline Verge, Yana Movchan, and more. Each featured artist appears with a short bio and artist''s statement, along with three images of his or her work. A wide variety of genres are featured in this edition, including marine, wildlife, landscape, abstract, portrait and still life, with a foreword by landscape artist Steven Rhude, featured artist on the cover of the first edition. Ten commercial fine art galleries in the province are profiled in the Introduction by Dee Appleby, and the index includes a list of all commercial and public fine art galleries currently operating in the province.
