Niacinamide

Niacinamide and niacin are twin vitamins with B3 status, but they’re not identical. The difference is that niacinamide is bound with amino acids, which prevents the flush effect (burning or tingling sensation of the face, chest, or neck) which frequently occurs with niacin supplementation. Its main metabolic task is the conversion of carbohydrates to glucose and to trigger the production of several sex- and stress-related hormones. A deficiency of B3 is known as pellagra, a disease with symptoms including diarrhea, dermatitis, and dementia.
