Grown on the Lopresti Vineyard at the southern end of McLaren Vale, east of Port Willunga. Matured in used French oak for 12 months. Red fruits prominent on the bouquet, with cherry and raspberry in the mix, along with a suggestion of stewed rhubarb and a slightly earthy undertone. Just lightish medium weight on the palate, the fruit tending to be more savoury than sweet, and the astringency of acid and tannin nicely in balance. Drink By: 2024. Score - 89.
