Lovely fruity expression on the nose, dark fruits but bright and incredibly perfumed - violet and peonie. Lively and forward, this has a lovely soft density on the palate - not thick but not thin either, leans into the vintage but still has some tangy fruit and sweetness. Grippy but I love the energy here - really flows from start to finish with blackcurrant ad black cherry fruit. Tannins are fine and this feels well worked and presented. Characterful and although not a blockbuster this is very charming. No chaptalisation. 3.5pH. Still organic, certified since 2021. A yield of 26hl/ha. 10% press. Ageing in foudre casks for about two years. Harvest strategy; hand harvesting. 5-20% of fruit dropped due to botrytis. Drinking window: 2024-2030.
