Medium mahogany, with burnished bronze and an olive-green hue. The gorgeously fragrant nose gives scents of crème brûlée, praline, dried tobacco leaf, apricot tart, slivered toasted almonds and lemongrass. Extremely complex, rich mouth entry. Satiny flow, kumquat and yuzu piquancy, salty olives and almonds, bittersweet burnt sugar and a wink of tannin. This has beautiful structure, complexity and weight, without heaviness, and the finish is dry and sapid. Beautifully and sensitively crafted. Score - 96.
