The 2018 Chablis Les Cos Clos des Hospices Grand Cru comes from the domaine's 0.41-hectare monopole, populated by 50-year-old vines that were cropped at 54hl/ha this vintage. Matured for 18-20 months on the fine lees, it has a livelier and more energetic bouquet compared to the regular Les Clos; there is heightened mineralité here, and greater sense of purpose. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, lightly honeyed in texture, with touches of almond and ginger toward the finish. A fine aftertaste of lemon peel lingers in the mouth. Excellent. Drinking window: 2021-2036. Score - 93.
