Nolan awakens in a strange forest with no memory of his arrival, struggling to make sense of his surroundings and fend off dangerous creatures. He soon encounters Zeriel, a powerful Bearkin, who offers him shelter and guidance. While trying to adapt to his new reality, Nolan learns about the mysterious realm of Arbre, its isolation, and the painful (albeit enjoyable) challenges of agreeing to the proposal of a Bearkin.
