This is an unusual collection of poetry by award-winning poet Herb Kauderer. Around the year 20 BCE, in his book Heroides, Ovid donned the voice of wronged heroines of mythology and wrote verse/letters to their famous lovers who mistreated them. In this book the author takes on the voice of a London scholar/writer around 1570 AD to write verse/letters directly to the Greek Gods. They are dark, funny, romantic, quizzical, and personal by turns. There is a scholarly article at the end explaining the historicity of the book.
