When Nirmal has got huge palace, lands and bank balance bequeathed by his uncle Sachetan Asamarava through a will, he was in a dilemma whether to receive those or not. It was just because his late uncle put a condition in that will that Nirmal has to come into that palace along with his family and live in it to get right over the properties bequeathed by him. The reason for Nirmal's hesitating to live in that palace was; his late mother has a sort of fear to that palace and she did never like even to talk about that palace with him. Moreover Nirmal could not understand why his uncle bequeathed all his properties to him with such a condition who did not even visit when Nirmal's parents died in an accident. But because of his poor economic condition, Nirmal decided to accept the condition in that will and receive the properties bequeathed through it. Despite Nirmal's late mother's warning in his dream not to go into that palace, Nirmal and his family started living in that palace while enjoying the properties and what happened from then on is the story of the paranormal romantic thriller 'Laughter of a Spirit'.
