From the Kiln by Denby Collection. Discover the organic shapes and glazes of the Kiln by Denby Collection. This tactile range is a modern take on traditional pottery techniques, adding effortless charm to your dining table. The new shape coupe plates are designed to make food look beautiful. The steep sides and the freckling of the glazes combine to create an artisan, natural and calming quality in a plate that is beautiful as well as versatile. Available in three sizes and perfect as a plate to use every day or as a piece for serving. Layer with the dinner plate and small plate for an imperfectly matching place setting. The striking yet simple glazes are tough enough for everyday and stunning enough for best. The medium plate is ideal as a side, dessert or salad plate and can be used in the oven to warm up some left overs or for cooking from scratch and sits neatly over the pasta bowl as a cover for easy storage in the fridge. Handcrafted in England and backed by a 10-year manufacturer’s guarantee.
Denby stoneware is fantastically durable and practical and is designed to be used and enjoyed, but like all things of beauty need a bit of looking after in order to get the best out of it for lots of years to come. Whilst their stoneware products are dishwasher safe, constant dishwashing may result in discolouration over time so Denby recommends using low temperatures and liquid detergents. Also think about the poor items at the bottom of the pile which so rarely get used-why not rotate your stack so it all gets used evenly (and if you're very disciplined or have plenty of time on your hands then alternatively, wash your items by hand and dry with a soft cloth). Denby stoneware is also suitable for microwave and freezer use for cooking, reheating and storing food, but please note that any pottery can crack when exposed to sudden changes in temperature so bring items slowly up or down to temperature where you can to avoid such cracks.
