The Bible challenges us in Romans 12:2 to not be conformed to this world but to be transformed by renewing our minds. Our natural human tendencies are strongly bent toward selfishness. It permeates our being and aggressively reveals itself in our interactions. Our culture seems to be pushing further and further toward the trend of selfishness. In a world of societal pressure, constant competition, and drive for material possessions and pleasure, I challenge you to take a deeper look at your life and ways in which you can kill selfishness. I want to challenge our way of thinking. I want to challenge us to change. I want to challenge not only our relationships but how we view our relationships and those around us. This book will challenge you to take a closer look at your every action to eventually lead a life of selflessness, worthiness, humility, and self-control. If we want to change our world, we must first change ourselves. And in order to truly change ourselves, we must first take an honest, unhindered look inside ourselves to discover how we can kill selfishness to live out selflessness.
