A beautifully illustrated story about finding treasured objects for fans of Deborah Marcero. Kiki lives above her family's grocery store, and she loves starting her weekends by making breakfast and sharing stories about the objects that she's collected in her yellow treasure box. While she helps out in the store by stacking jars of salmonberry jam and weighing bags of clementines, Kiki gathers the little trinkets that others have left behind and saves them for later in her precious treasure box. But now her treasure box is missing! Kiki retraces her steps across the neighborhood, and checks the bakery, the plant shop, and the art store to see if anyone has found her yellow treasure box. No one has seen it, but her friends and store owners shower her with new trinkets for the box when she finds it. In the end, Kiki can't find her favorite yellow treasure box, but she does find a way to share all her new trinkets with her friends and neighbors.
