The story of the Christian Church and homosexuality is told by highlighting the church's homosexual positions. Several biblical passages have been characterized as condemning same-sex relationships. The open literature and this work provide alternative interpretations. Historically churches reject alternative interpretations out of hand. In this work church positions are critiqued both historically and logically. It is argued that the churches refusal to discuss alternative and traditional positions are the result of a religious arrogance that is homophobic. They have inserted themselves into the United States political process with a rhetoric that would deny human rights and life itself.
