“Have you noticed that only the most narcissistic and self-absorbed people call themselves empaths?” Trevor Honeycutt is a young drifter in the seventies who falls into a strange group of people -- a cult led by a self-proclaimed empath named Roger Lansing. Trevor can't deny his attraction to Roger, even though he knows how bad Roger is for him. As Trevor falls deeper and deeper into the cult, tensions mount, jealousy is exposed and the murder attempts begin.
