I Like Being Me is a heartwarming story about a very Potbellied pig. It is a tale about self-acceptance, the joy of being different, and the importance of staying true to oneself. Through Jelly's adventures, young readers are encouraged to embrace their own quirks and celebrate the things that make them special. Alicia Hartley is a former First Grade teacher. During her years teaching little people, one of the main lessons she tried to impress upon her students was to embrace their own individuality and to accept one another's uniqueness. Alicia resides in Northwest Arkansas and is the proud mom of three adult daughters. She also has two-year-old twin grandsons and has temporary custody of her granddog, a soulful-eyed shitzu named Jagger. Her interests include reading, spending time with her fiance, traveling to see her grandsons, and taking walks with Jagger.
