Sharon Stanton has written a gut-wrenchingly honest and candid book about her life. She does not hold back. She tells of the early years with alcoholic parents and the anxiety she lived with every day of her life. Becoming a Christian at age 16 started her on the walk with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, but drinking became more important and took the place of faith in her life. Marriage to a strong, domineering man came, and children followed. She led a double life in those years. She became sober in Alcoholics Anonymous, but divorce soon followed and again her life changed. In these years, she had many love affairs, with much younger men and with men her own age. There were severe ramifications from those choices. low self esteem, poor self image, coupled with shame, plagued her constantly. In 1987, after nearly having a nervous breakdown, she vowed to change. She got down on her knees and cried out to God for strength to do so. It would be another three years before real change and healing began. Going to a Life In the Spirit Seminar at her church, she was bathed in the Holy Spirit and healing began. In 1990, she met the man who helped turn her life around, and gave her stable companionship, friendship, and love. They both share the same faith in the Lord. At present, they have not married, but knows that each has a soul mate in the other. Now, life is good in Christ and many avenues of service for her Lord and Savior have opened up to her. God forgives even the worst of sinners, and she will be "eternally" grateful for that.
