Science has proven that life first sprung from the womb of a black woman, yet black women have been one of the most mistreated and maligned groups of people on the planet. It's time for that to change, but while we are waiting I wanted to provide my melanated sisters some help with healing from all the hurt and trauma. Saying affirmations daily, helps to reprogram the mind and soul. We are beautiful, magnificent beings, but we need to believe it ourselves. Too many of us have believed the lies that we are unworthy and that our natural, beautiful bodies are somehow intrinsically flawed. I have curated this collection of affirmations and have added them to my art, so that you not only see positive representations of black women, but that the art in combination with the affirmations will help your mind and soul remember and adopt these new beliefs.
