Bringing the songs of Bengali childhood to new generations; Translated and Adapted into English by Ripa Chakraborty. Also, cultural references and wonderful illustrations are provided for the poems, to help the reader understand the context. This anthology draws upon public domain; folk poetry, traditional rhymes, and adaptations of selected works by Bengali poets. Where applicable, verses have been freely adapted for children's readership.
