God Gave Them to Me is a collection of short poems written by Carolyn J. Brent. Carolyn was born in 1946 and grew up during racial segregation in rural, sparsely populated Glencoe, Louisiana. Having a proclivity for writing since she was a young girl, Carolyn used poetry as an escape from life's hardships and a retreat towards the God who could carry her through them.
