The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Glass Collection represents around 45% of plantings on the estate and is due to increase with further plantings. There is a small proportion of bought-in fruit for this cuvée. It aged 12 months in 300-liter French oak barrels, 15% new. It has quite an opulent bouquet delivering blackberry, boysenberry and cassis fruit, well-defined, with just a touch of graphite in the background. The medium-bodied palate has pliant tannins and a subtle peppery/graphite note on the entry. It's focused, with the most complexity on the finish compared to other cuvées in the Glass Collection. This should age well in bottle. Excellent. Drinking window: 2026-2045. Score - 91.
