Emmolo Merlot 2020

This deep ruby colored Merlot from Napa Valley opens with a blueberry bouquet with hints of blackberry, violet and fennel. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is well balanced, silky, and fresh. The flavor profile is a blueberry and oak flavor with notes of mocha and black cherry. We also detected hints of red beet, spearmint, nutmeg and anise. The finish is dry and its flavors and refined tannins drift away nicely.
