The 2022 Chablis Vaudésirs Grand Cru comes from 56-year-old vines over 0.83 hectares, a relatively significant parcel, 60% aged in demi-muids and 40% in tanks. There is a touch of reduction on the nose here, as it had just been bottled. However, the Vaudesir shows fine delineation, with light walnut and lanolin scents emerging with time. Good complexity. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity-a little more amplitude than the Les Clos. It's strength is the finish, that displays hints of white almond and white pepper, in a very harmonious style. Very long in the mouth. Superb. Drinking window: 2026-2046.
