Saturated deep red. Brooding but expressive aromas of plum, iron, pepper and chocolate, conveying a strong impression of soil character. Sweet, dense and extremely deep, with great energy in the mouth. This has explosive flavors of red fruits, spices, iron and earth. Finishes with terrific verve and palatestaining length. A great bottle of Pommard that should gain in complexity for the next 10 to 15 years. Montille originally planned to bottle this in February but eventually waited until June. Score - 94+.
