Valpolicella Ripasso wines are Valpolicellas that have been re-passed (i.e., undergone a second fermentation) over used Amarone skins. Ripassos are richer and more complex than Valpolicellas and stylistically fall between these and Veneto's big Amarones. This one is charming, with ripe red fruit, cherry, spice and oak.
