PascALEjandro is the first monograph devoted to the work of the eponymous artist’s collective composed of the director, poet, writer, comic-book writer and playwright Alejandro Jodorowsky (born 1929) and painter, costume and set-designer and photographer Pascale Montandon-Jodorowsky (born 1972).The work primarily catalogues the couple’s illustration work, in which Alejandro Jodorowsky provides the lines and Pascale Montandon-Jodorowsky the color. The vibrant universe they create brims with ancestral myths, contemporary tales and metaphysical reflections on life; it is peopled by angels, clowns, mystical lovers and dream beings.
