Hello, my name is Cashai Pier Paid. This book is about the strengths and struggles in my life as a hood wife. A real hood wife is a mother first, a housekeeper, and a hustler. I think of myself as a husband and wife because in this life, I have had to play both parts in order to survive the streets. I have been a hood wife for fourteen years in two different marriages. Reading along, you will read that there have been three men in my life over a twenty-five-year period. I am either known to be one’s baby mother, ex-wife, or wife in the streets. In this book, I will be talking about what’s happening now all the way back through my experiences in the streets just trying to survive without getting killed or going to jail for a long period of time trying to defend myself.
